Russian 3D studio ALS has told interGame exacity what was behind its animated cinematic sequence for Super Slot's multi-level progressive jackpot system Stanislav Svarichevsky technical director since promoted to production manager. Said "There was no special task or a brief; we had to create the idea outselves. It meant that the script, idea and characters were also our task. At first we crganised the special creative group in order to create the script. After the transform we had some ideas, two of them were sketched and sent to the customer.
The first idea was a story about the gnome who was finding and hiding treasures in his house. The second idea was about a man who was fnding treasures and taking them to a ship. Moscow casino îðårator Super Slot chose the second variant after a long period of thinking. The next step included the work at writing storyboard and developing characters. That stop was held by concept artists Andrei Akulov with the help of the creative group. We developed the strategy of fve different scenes, where the boy was seeking dues as to how to find treasures. Plus, we ceated three winning scenes, where he found the treasures.
After a month, ALS produced the storyboard for every scene in the movie. "The customer sked the storyboard very much, but suddenly they decided that the boy had been seeking a girl It puzzled our team because we had thought that the boy had been seeking for treasures but not a girl. So what was more important to him - treasures or à girl? The answer was both."
ALS therefore began redeveloping storyboard and found the solution. Ultimately, the Boy was seeking the girl who appeared as a hoogram in order to point the way. The storyboards had been accepted and the ALS team began producing animatics in order to determine the time of characters' movements.
It look ALS livee and a half months to finalse the project. The firm has developed some new technologes since Mystery Million's completion.
"T'm sure thet some innovations would be installed if we could have such an opportunity. From my point of new motion capture is considered to be one of the most impressiv and mostly used technology in producing 3D animation. l's a very expensive technology, whith can be used only in big budget projects, but the result is worthwhile - animaton and graphics are very realistic, concluded Svarichevsky. |
